The National RV Trade Show, held November 27-30 in Louisville, Ky., will feature a brand new Outside Lifestyle Pavilion, sponsored by Go RVing partner, Outside Magazine. Located off the West Wing, the pavilion helps to grow the footprint of the show to over 1 million square feet, as well as bring new lifestyle exhibitors positioned to help RV dealers find new revenue streams.
According to a press release, attendees to the show will be able to get tips from Outside Magazine and Go RVing on ways to improve outdoor activity access for their local consumers. Outside Magazine will also be setting up a campground and activation area where dealers can learn how to slackline from experts and compete against colleagues for fun. Outdoor adventurist, Brody Leven, will also be onsite to meet attendees and share his experiences.
“The RV industry is critical to getting folks outside, but there are always new ways to attract consumers,” said Sam Moulton, marketing director at Outside Magazine. “We look forward to sharing innovative ways to increase outdoor participation, and highlighting all opportunities available to RV dealers at the first-ever Outside Lifestyle Pavilion.”
“Today’s consumers are looking for outdoor experiences that RV dealers sell every day in their stores,” said Liz Crawford, RVIA senior VP of trade shows and events. “The Outside Lifestyle Pavilion is designed to help dealers learn how to utilize additional merchandising opportunities to bring in more consumers, sell more products and keep them coming back for more.”
In addition to the Outside Magazine activation area and new exhibitors, the inaugural Top Tech Challenge will be occurring in the Outside Lifestyle Pavilion. The competition, sponsored by Airxcel, Dometic, Lippert Components and Thetford, pits RV service techs with a minimum of five years of experience against each other as the compete to diagnose seven different types of technical RV service issues, as fast as possible, to determine the Top Tech of the year.
