Saskatchewan’s Elk Island National Park (EINP) is going to be another busy destination for campers this summer, according to fortsaskonline.com.
With campsite booking opening early in 2018, weekends have filled up fast.
“It’s been quite popular this year. Our oTENTik and drive-in sites are booked on all weekends until the September long weekend,” said Catharine Brazeau, communications officer at EINP. “Basically May long weekend is the start of the busier season at Elk Island and many national parks.”
Winter camping took off during the mild season and in 2017 the park was busy with over 500,000 visitors.
