Silver Palms Village is a new RV resort going in at Okeechobee, Fla. Designed by Harvey Resorts, the new community will offer a private gated entry to a five-star, master-planned resort built on 90 acres in South Florida, according to a press release. Pre-construction sales are under way with the resort set to open in the fall.
A total of 512 sites will be available for all types of RVs, ranging from Class A motorhomes to travel trailers and fifth-wheels that meet minimum standards. A limited number of park model homes are also available.
The new ownership resort community is near Lake Okeechobee, and will have four small lakes stocked with fish on site. It also will have tennis and pickle ball courts, a large resort-style heated swimming pool with a Jacuzzi spa and bocce ball and shuffleboard facilities.
Center of activity at Silver Palms will be the 9,000–square-foot Old Florida-style clubhouse, state-of-the-art fitness center with group fitness classes, an educational and business center, a private members’ lounge and arts and crafts and billiards.
All of the sites will have water, sewer, 100-amp electric service, cable television, telephone hookups and high-speed Internet access. And all of the lots are oversized, ranging up to 80 feet by 50 feet, as well as many that are odd-shaped or that have preserve or lakefront views.
Owners will receive fee simple deeds to their property and will have a voice in the future of the resort. Individual owners may enhance their site by adding features such as stylish pavers, a built-in outdoor kitchen and serving areas to their sites, as well as upgraded landscaping packages. Storage units are also available, and a separate area will be set aside for optional storage of boats and trailers.
Harvey Resorts is also in the early stages of developing another new ownership resort community in western North Carolina.
