Forest River Inc. had the top spot for the first six months of the year in terms of market share, with 25.2%. Thor Industries Inc. had market share of 24.8%, with Winnebago Industries third at 21.2%.
The Class A motorhome market recovered from its May lull, posting a 2% year-over-year gain in June and a year-to-date hike of 9.7% compared to the first six months of 2013. In Class A motorhomes, Thor held a 22.7% market share and came out on top through June, with Winnebago in second place with 19.6% of the market and Forest River occupying 16% of the market for third place.
Class C sales saw an 11% rise in June over the prior June, and year-to-date sales were up 16.1% through June. Forest River, with 35% of the market year-to-date through June, was number one in Cs, followed by Thor with 26.9% market share, and Winnebago with 22.9% of the U.S. minimotorhome market.
