Homes and property at the KOA Kampground in Mims, Fla., sustained significant damage Wednesday (March 30), as a severe storm crossed central Florida.

A tree fell on a recreational vehicle inside the campground. The RV’s owners said they heard branches snapping, and then a giant rotting tree came crashing down, Channel 13 News, Orlando, reported.

Branches and broken tree limbs were scattered throughout the campgrounds this morning. People who live at the site said the storm was terrifying and intense.
