The Brushy Creek Campground in Jefferson, Texas, may be closed, but inside the gates crews are hard at work.

KLTV reported that days after a storm uprooted trees and left two people dead, the Army Corps of Engineers is working to restore the damaged campground.

The campground sits on the edge of Lake o’ the Pines in Marion County and is a popular destination for campers. A Saturday night storm brought strong winds and heavy rains to the area, resulting in the death of 40-year-old Mary Pinney. Pinney was the founder of nonprofit organization Project Blue.

The Army Corps says the tons of timber and other storm debris will have to be removed before the park can reopen. They’ll also have to inspect each individual tree to check for root damage.
