The Jellystone Park system now includes 73 locations with the addition of parks in Pine Grove, Calif., Fletcher, N.C., and Eufala, Okla.
Pine Grove, located 50 miles southeast of Sacramento, is owned by John Darcy and operated by Liz Johnson. The park features 71 full hook-up sites plus 25 tenting sites, cabin rentals and eight lodge rooms. It is close to many tourist attractions including historic gold country towns. A new water playground is under construction at the resort.
Rutledge Lake Travel Park, located near the tourist destination of Asheville, N.C., was named ARVC’s Small Park of the Year for at last month’s InSites Convention & Trade Show. The park, owned by Mike and Sandy Tinsley, has 70 full hook-up sites plus three camping cabins, a fishing lake and a large multi-purpose rec building. The famous Biltmore Estates is just minutes away along with other popular attractions.
LSI’s first Oklahoma park, owned by Al Sahli, will be located on Lake Eufaula, one of the largest lakes in the state boasting 600 miles of shoreline. The park is currently under construction but set to open in the summer of 2008. Eufaula is located about 90 miles south of Tulsa and 120 miles east of Oklahoma City.
