One of the many beautiful RV sites in Treasure Isle RV Park in New York.

Treasure Isle RV Park in Blossvale, N.Y., is hosting a special afternoon of food and fun on June 8 exclusively for clients of the Syracuse-area Gigi’s Playhouse, one of 12 Down syndrome awareness and educational centers across the country that provide resources, specialized teaching, and support to individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community.

In a news release, Leanne Silber, owner of Treasure Isle RV Park with her husband Neil Krawczyk, said, “We feel so blessed in our lives and wanted to do something special to give back to our community. We met some folks who work closely with Gigi’s Playhouse in Syracuse and felt we could offer them an opportunity to enjoy our property and have an afternoon of fun here at Treasure Isle.”

Activities planned for Gigi’s Playhouse clients, friends and families will include water volleyball and basketball at the park’s private swimming beach, followed by a weenie roast and hayride through the park.

Background

Leanne and Neil purchased Treasure Isle RV Park, located in Blossvale, near Sylvan Beach and Oneida Lake, in June 2010 and have worked continually to improve upon an already successful business and beautiful park. In their opinion, there is no better family bonding experience than getting outside and playing together. The park is open annually late April to mid-October.

Treasure Isle holds an annual Memorial Day 50/50 raffle of which this year, the proceeds to be presented to Gigi’s Playhouse. Treasure Isle RV Park will match every dollar raised in the raffle.
