Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) campgrounds and visitor centers at TVA dams and reservoirs are reducing hours or closing as the 2014 recreation season comes to an end, the Chattanoogan reported.

TVA campgrounds that closed Monday (Nov. 17) are:

Cherokee Dam Campground – Cherokee Reservoir, Tenn.
Douglas Dam Headwater Campground – Douglas Reservoir, Tenn.
Douglas Dam Tailwater Campground – Douglas Reservoir, Tenn.
Foster Falls Campground – Marion County, Tenn.
Melton Hill Dam Campground – Melton Hill Reservoir, Tenn.
Pickwick Dam Tailwater Campground – Pickwick Reservoir, Tenn.
Wilson Dam Rockpile Campground – Wilson Reservoir, Ala.

TVA campgrounds will reopen for the 2015 season in mid-March and will be operated by concessionaires.

TVA’s visitor centers at Norris Dam and Kentucky Reservoir will close Nov. 30.
