NCC Events, organizers of one of the UK’s most important exhibitions, the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show, has confirmed that over 26,000 advance tickets have already been sold ahead of the event in February 2022, according to reporting by AboutCampBtoB.com.

It says this is ten times the number of tickets sold at this point in previous years and shows there is pent-up demand after the shows for the last two years have not been able to take place due to COVID-19.

The show will be spread over five halls at the NEC and both the Caravan and Motorhome Club and the Camping and Caravanning Club will be welcoming their many members to the show. To support the significant rise in interest in campervans, there will be over 50% more models on display. Free leisure activities will be on offer including a custom-built indoor pool where visitors can try paddleboarding and kayaking, and advice center for those new to leisure vehicles plus many other features.

John Lally, CEO of NCC Events said, “The strong ticket sales are a clear indication of pent-up demand – we know that not only are there a lot of new buyers coming into the industry, but many of the core markets of caravanners have held off upgrading their outfits.”

“Interest in leisure vehicles is such that Channel 5 have chosen to focus on the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show, as part of their new year programming, with filming taking place during the show and aired “live” during the event to an anticipated 1.5 million viewers. It’s great publicity for our exhibitors – interest in the industry has never been so high!

“This will be the first major leisure vehicle exhibition in the UK for two years and we know that many will have missed the opportunity to step inside the latest models, compare the different layouts and specifications, and talk face-to-face with others who share their love of the touring lifestyle.

“We are delighted that so many manufacturers across product categories are using the show as a platform to launch new models and utilizing the event to present their brand to an audience that has boomed with many newcomers.

“There will be an excellent range of well-equipped holiday homes, lodges and tents on offer too. There really is no better place to see what’s on, choose a perfect vehicle and chat to a friendly face who can reassure, offer advice and demonstrate features on their chosen products.”

Terry Dullaghan, Interim MD of NCC Events said;

“We are looking forward to the industry putting on a magnificent show and there will be a huge choice of both British and Continental models of tourers, motorhomes and campervans across all price points.”

NCC Events is working with the NEC to ensure that the show is COVID compliant so that the staff from the 354 stand holders and show visitors are able to enjoy the largest start of season show as safely as possible.
