Couples and families have been coming to the Jekyll Island Campground in Georgia for dozens of years, the Brunswick News reported. But this week, a special group of campers will pull in to the campground where about 90 vintage trailers will be on display.

The trailer owners are members of Southern Vintage Trailer Friends, founded in 2010 to support the area’s growing vintage trailer interest. The group will host a vintage trailer show at the campground Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 7 years and older.

“This is a group that was formed out of a passion for vintage campers. Our goal is to support our love of vintage trailers and promote a common goal of camping together and making lasting friendships,” said Victoria Mock, who, along with her husband, Ron, are the rally masters for this weekend’s event.

“We strive to provide opportunities for all vintage trailer enthusiasts to camp together in the southern states area including Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama or Florida,” she said.

After many people had purchased and restored or updated vintage campers, organizers of the group said they realized there were no events within eight hours of their location. and so they decided to start events up themselves.
