No one could blame Mark Koep, the founder and lead developer of the Back to Camping Summit, for wanting to take a few days off after hosting the virtual conference from May 11-12.
The Summit went from idea to its opening day in about four weeks, meaning Koep has been burning the candle at both ends. It was all worth it though he told WOODALLSCM.com, as more than 500 registered for the two-day show.
With a variety of educational sessions, more than 50 vendors and chat rooms that allowed attendees to engage with each other, Koep noted that he heard only positive feedback from attendees.
“People were amazed at the information presented, the professionalism and the platform’s ease of use,” he told WCM.
Highlights of the second day included a panel featuring Jon Gray, CEO of RVShare, and Andy Robinowitz, CEO of RV Life and Campground Reviews. Larry Brownfield, director of franchise development for Kampgrounds of America Inc. (KOA), also “wowed” people with his presentation, according to Koep.
Some of the feedback Koep received:
- “Mark, Ravi and all the partners thank you. This summit has been the best I’ve ever attended as far as education and content. COVID or no, it was totally awesome. I really appreciate all your hard work and personal expense at putting it all together for the industry.”
- “Such high quality in such a short time. Impressive”
- “Mark, you and your team knocked it out of the park! This is by far the best conference I have ever been involved in. As a themed glamping venue operator in Canada, I was not sure how pertinent the content would be to us. IT WAS AMAZING! Thank you.”
Guests are still encouraged to register as recordings and engagement will continue through May 31.
