Vista del Sol RV Resort has won the Small Park of the Year Award from the Arizona Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds.
According to a press release, park of the year awards are presented to RV parks and campgrounds that deliver an extraordinary guest experience as a result of all-around excellence in operations, amenities, professionalism, marketing, customer service and industry involvement.
“We are very honored to receive this recognition, particularly given the very high level of competition in the RV resort business,” said Scott Roberts, CEO of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Roberts Resorts, which owns Vista del Sol RV Resort in addition to eight other RV parks and resorts in four states.
Vista del Sol’s Park of the Year Award is the latest in a series of awards and recognition for the park, which also achieved a 10-10-10 rating from the Good Sam Club, a ranking achieved by only 197 RV parks and resorts across North America last year.
Initially developed in 2005 as a 109-site manufactured home community, Roberts Resorts acquired Vista del Sol in 2010 and expanded the park by creating a new section as an RV resort, which opened in 2015 with 89 RV sites that are available on a nightly, weekly or monthly basis. Many amenities have also been added to the park in recent years, including a swimming pool and hot tub, a fitness center and pickleball courts, as well as a clubhouse with a commercial kitchen and barbecue ramada.
A dog park and state-of-the-art Wi-Fi service are also available.
