The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission (WSPRC) has announced that Fields Spring State Park’s Tamarack Cabin will be open and reservable year-round instead of only April 1 through Oct. 31.
According to the Daily Fly, this addition to the central reservation system will go into effect February 21st.
The WSPRC has also extended reservation availability at several other parks:
Bogachiel State Park, Forks – Campground. Open year round. Reservable May 15 through Sept. (Previously not reservable.)
Fort Casey Historical State Park, Coupeville — Campsites reservable year round. (Previously reservable May 15 through Sept. 15.)
Fort Ebey State Park, Coupeville – Reservation season extended March 1 through Oct. 31. (Previously reservable May 15 through Sept. 15.)
Kanaskat-Palmer State Park, Ravensdale — Campsites reservable year round. (Previously, winter camping was first come, first served.)
Mount Spokane State Park, Mead — Vista House, a day-use facility often used for weddings.
Rainbow Falls State Park, Chehalis — Group camp and shelter. (Previously reservable only by calling the park.)
Fort Townsend, Port Townsend – Group camp. (Previously reservable only by calling the park.)
Brooks Memorial, Goldendale – Group camp. (Previously reservable only by calling the park.)
