Those questions and a variety of others were tackled during our WCM Fireside Chat on Monday (June 29).
We invited Rose Duemig, who has over 15 years in the convention and hospitality industry working with conferences for both association and corporate sectors, to flesh out some of the details that conference organizers are having to sort through. Her experience encompasses the entire logistical process of planning and onsite execution of a conference that includes managing budgets, speakers, food and beverage, audiovisual, transportation, VIP management, housing and registration … etc. Meeting sizes have ranged from 10 people to 200,000 throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Her clients have included IBM, Sherwin WIlliams, The World Stamp Association and the American Optometric Association.
WCM Fireside Chats also discussed potential hybrid conferences, how virtual conference might work and a myriad of other related topics during the show.
