WCM Show Logo WCM’s Outdoor Hospitality Update featured a discussion on the future of electric vehicles (EVs) and how the growing movement to manufacture more EVs by major automakers could impact the outdoor hospitality industry.

Most of the 40-50 minute show was spent talking with Gene Zanger, owner of Casa de Fruta in Hollister, Calif., about the efforts he has made to install Tesla vehicle chargers at his property due to the demand by travelers in his area. He spoke about what park owners should be focused on as they begin to look at catering to the EV market, and he also elaborated some on why park owners don’t want to ignore this segment of campers that is set to grow.

Later in the show, Mike Sokol, an RV industry expert in electrical issues and a writer for RVTravel.com, came on and gave some thorough updates on what he is seeing in the EV market and how it is set to quickly expand and grow.

The show is hosted by Ben Quiggle, editor of Woodall’s Campground Magazine (WCM), and Mike Gast, former vice president of communications at Kampgrounds of America Inc. (KOA) and a senior writer for RVTravel.com.

The show airs every Tuesday at 3 p.m.
