Living Intent Yurt Company

Living Intent Yurt Company showed off one of its custom-made yurts at the recent Glamping Show Americas.

The Glamping Show Americas wrapped up its annual conference in Aurora, Colo., at the beginning of October. The event has grown significantly over the years and David Korse, the organizer of the event, noted to WoodallsCM.com (WCM) that a record number of attendees took part in this year’s show with audited numbers showing 1,592 individuals took part in 2023.

One of the highlights of the show is the more than 50 unique accommodation units from yurts to canvas tents to space-age cabins and more that are set up outside the venue for attendees to walk through. WCM for its part enjoys connecting with the accommodation vendors and recording short interviews on the units they are displaying.

Over the next several weeks, WCM will be highlighting the unique accommodation units that were at the show this year through a series that will allow those who didn’t get the chance to attend the show to still see some of the neat products that were on display.

Today, we take a look at a yurt from Living Intent Yurts. WCM speaks with Caleb Erskine, owner of Living Intent Yurts, which got its start in the woods of northern Maine in 2016, beginning with building a single yurt and a passion for a more sustainable lifestyle.

The company is now based in Grass Valley, Calif.. He shows off a 20-foot diameter yurt with signature Sapele doors, lattice walls made with three-ply laminated bamboo hardwood and a quarter-inch thick acrylic roof dome.
