Wild Energy has unveiled a redesigned version of CheckTheMeter.com, the company’s real-time electricity usage portal, now featuring improved mobile responsiveness, streamlined navigation, and added guest support content. The updated platform remains free of charge for all Wild Energy smart metering customers, according to a press release.

Accessible from any device without requiring a login, CheckTheMeter.com allows both property owners and guests to view current meter readings simply by entering the meter number. The portal has become a vital tool for avoiding billing disputes and supporting operational transparency.

As the only tool of its kind in the market, CheckTheMeter.com gives Wild Energy customers a unique, simple-to-use level of visibility into real-time electricity usage.

“This update is about usability and clarity,” said Mike Sorensen, CEO of Wild Energy. “Owners and guests now have a more intuitive way to access usage information and avoid confusion over utility charges. We’re proud to continue offering this service at no added cost to our customers.”

Jason Kaplan, who owns a mobile home park in Arizona, described the impact: “After notifying our tenants of their ability to follow their electricity usage in real time on checkthemeter.com, my manager no longer has to hear the constant complaint of, ‘There’s no way I used THAT much electricity!’ which had caused her monthly dread for so many years.”

Wild Energy’s mission is to help operators drive smarter revenue growth, improve infrastructure management, and simplify utility cost recovery through metering compliance, automation and guest transparency, explained the release.
