New campsites, a safer boat launch and a shower house are all goals for Mooney Dam County (Wis.) Park in the next five years, according to the Superior Telegram.

Updated signs and kiosks, a new sanitary dump station, replacing playground swings and relocating electrical pedestals are planned for Gordon Dam County Park.

And Lucius Woods County Park would have a dock installed in the beach area and improved walking trails, according to a five-year plan adopted Monday, Feb. 26, by the Forest, Parks and Recreation Committee.

And the county’s day parks, wildlife area and other recreational spaces would be improved as well under the 2024-2028 Douglas County Outdoor Recreation Plan.

The plan was adopted after the public had the opportunity to provide input.
