A couple’s application for a special-use permit for a campground was unanimously denied by the Park County (Wyo.) Commissioners, the Cody Enterprise reported.
Richard and Mallie Zickefoose wanted to build nine 40-foot by 40-foot campsites.
After listening to comments from the public and the couple, Commissioner Loren Grosskopf said, “the purpose of a special-use permit is to expand in a cottage industry. You’re asking for special use for a campground.”
Chairman Joe Tilden said it “has been difficult for all of us” and added, “I don’t believe it’s in harmony or compatible.”
