The Xscapers Annual Bash 2026 kicked off in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., on January 10 and runs through January 18. The event is celebrating both its own 10th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of Route 66. The milestone is reflected in this year’s nostalgic theme, “Get Your Kicks,” and attendees will find vintage decorations, live music from Americana rock bands, and other throwbacks to earlier times.
Bash was launched in 2016, with just a few RVers who were living and working on the road. Now, the entire Bash area transforms into a temporary RV city each year, and Xscapers members can find educational events on RV life, community with other working-age RVers, and plenty of entertainment.
Xscapers can attend seminars on solar power, boondocking, off-roading, creating content on the road, and many other topics related to everyday RV living. There’s also a session on the past and future of Historic Route 66, sharing stories from the iconic route’s past 100 years. Sessions are peer-led, so visitors get real-life advice and stories from fellow travelers.

There is also plenty of fun at the bash. There’s a full Kids & Teen Camp to entertain younger travelers while their parents attend educational sessions. Guests will also find plenty of live music, talent shows, wacky games, food and drink competitions, and more. One of the best ways to meet fellow campers is through the block parties, where Xscapers hang out in the areas near their camp and chat with their neighbors. The All-Day Lot Crawl is another chance to meet more Xscapers – each section decorates according to a theme, and campers provide visitors with drinks and snacks before everyone heads on to the next section.
Theme nights, such as “Vintage Glam” and “90s Rock & Rave,” mean Xscapers can raid their closets – or their parents’ closets – and dress up for a throwback night of music and dancing.
Each year, Bash builds bonds between younger, working men and women who live on the road. Thanks to more than a week of programming and events, they have plenty of time to connect, share tips and stories, and make memories with fellow campers.
Chris Smith, Senior Director of Harvest Hosts Community & Events and the president of the Escapees Social Network, says, “At its core, Bash is about a truly inclusive, tight-knit community where everyone is welcome, regardless of background or RV type. It’s about finding your tribe and building meaningful connections that are essential to the RV lifestyle.”
