Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort locations across eastern Canada are adding new attractions, activities and accommodation options in preparation for the upcoming season, according to a press release.
“Our franchisees are always working to improve their locations, so each year there are new attractions or games or new accommodation options at Jellystone Park,” said Trent Hershenson, vice president of marketing for Camp Jellystone, the Southfield, Mich.-based company that franchises Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts across Canada and the United States.
Here’s a sampling of the new attractions, amenities and accommodations at Jellystone Park locations in eastern Canada this year:
Kingston, Nova Scotia: New attractions at this location include a disc golf practice park, an outdoor gym and a 3-on-3 basketball court. Existing attractions at this park include a 25-foot inflatable water slide, a zero-entry swimming pool, gem mining, and duck races. A motorhome will also be available for rent this year. The location opens for the season on May 12.
Niagara Falls, Ontario: This location has added five new three-bedroom park model rentals. On-site attractions at this location include the largest inflatable water slide in Canada (34 feet tall) and an 18-hole miniature golf course. New activities this year include “Shark Invasion Week,” June 17-20, which will include shark crafts, a shark tooth scavenger hunt and the first annual “Great White Shark Water War.” A “Super Spy Week” is planned for August 8-10 and will feature fun crafts, brain teasers and a whodunit mystery scavenger hunt. Themed weeks will also feature wagon rides and visits from Yogi Bear, Boo Boo and Ranger Smith. This location also features an all-day recreation program every day from the end of June through Labor Day weekend. The location opens for the season on April 28.
Woodstock, New Brunswick: New attractions at this location include “magical maze games,” which require strategy and coordination to get through each maze. Also new for this year are gel blaster challenge games in which opposing teams spar off against one another to see who can blast their opponents the fastest. The gel pellets are made from all-natural, non-toxic, non-irritating, starch-based material that bursts on contact and immediately evaporates, causing no stains, no residue and no mess. This location is also adding two Glamping Bunkies this year, which are two-story cabins with three queen size beds, a mini kitchen and a propane barbecue. This location has a total of 32 cabin rentals in six different configurations. The park opens for the season on June 1.
