Webster Douglas Forest KOA Journey

Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) is pleased to welcome the Webster/Douglas Forest KOA Journey to the KOA family of campgrounds. The campground’s new owners acquired the property in 2023 and have since undertaken significant efforts to redevelop and modernize the park. The campground previously operated as a KOA in the 1990s, making its return to the KOA brand a natural next chapter while bringing renewed investment and outdoor recreation opportunities to the Webster, Mass., community, according to a press release.

Located in Webster, Massachusetts, the Webster/Douglas Forest KOA Journey sits in a quiet, wooded setting beside Douglas State Forest, offering easy access to hiking, biking and outdoor recreation. The campground is also minutes from Webster Lake, one of Massachusetts’ premier bass fishing destinations, and close to local attractions including Indian Ranch concerts, the Brimfield Antique Flea Market and historic New England towns.

Boston is approximately 40 minutes away, making the campground an ideal stop for travelers exploring the region.

“We’re excited to bring the Webster/Douglas Forest campground back into the KOA family and continue building a welcoming place for travelers and families to experience the outdoors,” said the owners of the Webster/Douglas Forest KOA Journey. “This property has a long history as a camping destination, and we’re committed to continued investment in the campground, so guests can enjoy the beauty of the surrounding forest while supporting the local community and businesses in Webster.”

The Webster/Douglas Forest KOA Journey offers a variety of camping options, including pull-through and back-in RV sites as well as tent sites in a shaded woodland setting. Campground amenities include Wi-Fi, a seasonal swimming pool, playground, pavilion, KampK9 dog park, laundry facilities, propane service and a campground store, with additional amenities such as a gem mining sluice and expanded recreation areas planned for the future.

Looking ahead, there are plans to expand the park by adding 40 new pull-through RV sites with 50-amp service, along with additional recreational features designed to enhance the guest experience and further establish the campground as a destination for travelers exploring central Massachusetts.

Located at 106 Douglas Road, the Webster/Douglas Forest KOA Journey is open April 1 to Oct. 31.

For more information or to make a reservation, visit the campground’s website or call 888-562-8625. Reservations are also available by going online or using the KOA App.
