Big Rig Friendly RV Resort is excited to announce that it is in the final stages of installing high-speed fiber optic internet throughout the resort in partnership with Ripple Fiber. The upgrade will provide guests with a faster, more reliable connectivity experience and further position the resort as one of the premier destinations for today’s connected travelers, according to a press release.
“As remote work, streaming services and digital lifestyles continue to shape travel expectations, reliable internet access has become one of the most sought-after amenities among RV travelers,” stated the release. “Industry experts now refer to internet access as the ‘fourth utility,’ alongside water, sewer and electric hookups.”
“Today’s campers want more than a place to park their RV. They want the ability to stay connected to family, work remotely, stream their favorite shows and enjoy the same digital conveniences they have at home,” said Michelle Fleming, director of operations for Big Rig Friendly RV Resort. “We recognized that reliable, high-speed internet is no longer a luxury. It’s an essential part of the guest experience.”
“While many campgrounds across the United States still struggle with limited or inconsistent connectivity, fiber optic infrastructure remains relatively uncommon in the outdoor hospitality industry, particularly in established campgrounds and rural destinations,” stated the release. “By investing in fiber technology, Big Rig Friendly RV Resort is creating an enhanced experience for both overnight and long-term guests.”
The new fiber optic network will support:
- Reliable streaming and entertainment services
- Video conferencing and remote work capabilities
- Improved connectivity across the resort
- A better digital experience for families, vacationers, and full-time RV travelers
Conveniently located in West Columbia, S.C., Big Rig Friendly RV Resort offers spacious sites designed for large RVs, resort-style amenities and easy access to Columbia-area attractions. The addition of Ripple Fiber’s high-speed internet service represents another step in the resort’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences and meeting the evolving needs of modern travelers, noted the release.
“We’re building more than an RV resort,” Fleming added. “We’re creating a destination where guests can truly enjoy the freedom of the RV lifestyle without sacrificing the connectivity that keeps them connected to work, family, and the world around them.”
The fiber optic installation is expected to be completed soon, with service becoming available to guests shortly thereafter.
