164-Site Dwell RV Resort Coming to Topock, Ariz. This Summer

Dwell RV Resort & Casita Cabins

Dwell Outdoor Hospitality is about to open a new RV and glamping resort near Lake Havasu, Ariz, according to a press release.

Dwell RV Resort & Casita Cabins in Topock, Ariz., will feature 164 spacious full-hookup RV sites and 20 custom-designed park model cabins.

The first 37 sites, including four cabins, will be available in May, with the remainder by mid-summer, according to McKay Quinn, president of Dwell Outdoor Hospitality, which is developing the resort.

“There is a ton of demand in the (greater Lake Havasu) market,” Quinn said, adding, “You often have to book out 12 months ahead of time.”

But despite the high demand, many parks in the Lake Havasu area are not as nice as they could be, largely because of a lack of investment, Quinn said.

“We surveyed the market all up and down the river and found that a lot of properties are quite dated,” he said, adding, “There is a lot of tired product and we wanted to deliver something that’s elevated above the rest.”

Dwell RV Resort is not a waterfront park. However, it does have a few RV sites with distant views of Topock Bay.

“The park is on an elevated site,” Quinn said, adding, “All of the sites are designed to have incredible views of the Mojave Desert. Some of them have views of the bay.”
Quinn also believes his company has made sufficient investments in facilities and amenities to offset the fact that it’s not next to the water. The park also features an attractive Southwest-modern design theme.

“It’s a nice new park,” he said. “It’s going to be a little quieter (than the rest), not the center of the party.”

Dwell RV Resort is also family-friendly with no 55-and-over restrictions, unlike many parks in Arizona.

“We have full concrete pads next to the RV sites,” Quinn said, noting, “All of our roads are paved. We have landscaping on each site. We also have some premium sites with their own shade structures, a built-in gas grill and fire pit and a mini fridge.”

The park models, which Dwell calls “Casita Cabins,” are custom-made by Iron Town Modular Homes in Spanish Fork, Utah.

Park amenities, to be completed this summer, will include a clubhouse, resort-style pool and hot tub, and a fully equipped fitness center, a pickleball court, two separate dog runs for large and small dogs, as well as dog washing stations. The park will also feature a bathhouse with private bathrooms and showers.

Dwell RV Resort & Casita Cabins is one of four parks that Dwell Outdoor Hospitality owns and operates. The others are Nine Mile Resort in Wellington, Utah, the Green River KOA Journey in Green River, Utah, and Garden Grove RV Resort in Sierra Vista, Ariz.

Dwell Outdoor Hospitality also provides third-party management services.
