Modern America Campgrounds (MAC) and Hipcamp have announced that 27 Modern America Campgrounds properties across the U.S. Northeast are now available to book on Hipcamp, an app for finding and booking campsites, according to a press release.
Modern America Campgrounds is the largest RV park and campground owner in the Northeast, with a growing portfolio of 34 locations across the region, including those offering transient camping now available on Hipcamp. MAC properties sit at the crossroads of convenience and country. The company pairs the freedom of the great outdoors with all of the modern conveniences, like full-service RV options, camp stores, and a range of on-site amenities and activities.
As more camping trips start with mobile search and instant booking, this partnership brings MAC’s Northeast portfolio to Hipcamp at a moment of strong momentum in the category. It expands bookable options across a wide range of experiences, from Maine’s rugged coastline to the quiet rivers and mountain towns of New Hampshire.
“The Northeast is a great example of why marketplace data matters,” said Alyssa Ravasio, CEO and Founder of Hipcamp. “Even when the broader picture is mixed, we can see very clearly where demand is concentrating. We track a ‘Supply Constraint Score,’ which measures the relationship between camper searches and available campsites on Hipcamp. It shows why MAC’s Northeast portfolio is such a strong fit—it’s a collection of well-equipped, much-loved properties in locations we know campers are genuinely searching for.”
Examples of MAC parks in Hipcamp’s most supply-constrained Northeast markets include:
- Acadia, Maine: Bar Harbor Campground (Bar Harbor); Quarry Ledge Campground (Mt Desert)
- White Mountains, N.H.: Eastern Slope Camping Area (North Conway); Riverbrook & Baker River Campground (Rumney)
- Portland/Southern Maine: Kokatosi Campground (Raymond); Poland Spring Campground (Poland)
- Lakes Region, N.H.: Hunter’s Run RV Park (Meredith); Terrace Pines Campground (Center Ossipee)
- Greater Boston: Sandy Pond Campground (Plymouth)
“We’re proud of the campgrounds in our network and the traditions they represent for generations of Northeast campers,” said Hunter Vazza, a company representative for Modern America Campgrounds. “As travel demand normalizes and competition for guests increases — especially in seasonal markets — visibility and ease of booking matter more than ever. Hipcamp helps us meet campers where they’re searching, and this partnership makes it easier for both new and returning guests to discover and book Modern America Campgrounds across the Northeast.”
