An open house showcasing the debut of a new story walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 9 at the Coshocton KOA (Coshocton, Ohio), according to the Coshocton Tribune.
The story walk follows a nature trail through woodlands and features a station for each page of a children’s book. It was created through a collaboration between the KOA and Joni Peddicord.
The two share the vision of promoting childhood literacy, curiosity and imagination, according to a community announcement.
Peddicord will lead a guided tour and read the children’s book “What Does It Mean To Be An American” by Rana DiOrio and Elad Yoran to celebrate America 250. It focuses on responsibility, diversity and patriotism.
The story walk will feature a new book each month and be open from mid-April to October. Walking the trail is free, but guests are asked to register at the camp store.
