Families are back in the pool and kayakers are once again exploring the Muskegon River (Michigan), according to WZZM.
The area around Salmon Run Campground is almost unrecognizable compared with April.
“People are asking, like, how high the water was,” said Gyorgy Baumann. “I’m like, come on down, I’ll show you.”
They’re having busy weekends once again, something they were hoping for.
“We were able to open up on time for May 1, which we, during the flood, didn’t think that it was gonna be possible, but it ended up being possible,” said Gyorgy.
After the water was gone, the Baumanns said they only had a few days to get the campground ready, something they were able to achieve with the help of volunteers.
