Michael Hobby is running for re-election to the board of directors seat in Area 4. Area 4 encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Hobby has been involved with ARVC for over a decade in a number of different leadership roles. Before his current position on the board of directors since 2014, he was previously on ARVC’s board of directors from 2007-2013. He has been a Past Chair of the board’s Governance Committee, Past Secretary and Parliamentarian.
He also is currently on the ARVC Foundation board, a role he has held since 2014 and is currently its vice-chairman.
He owns and operates two campgrounds, Moon landing RV Park & Marina (1995 to Current) and Lighthouse RV Park & Marina (2012 – Current), both located in South Carolina.
Hobby was founding director of the Carolinas Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds and was previously director and treasurer of the South Carolina Campground Owners Association.
