Ah, Texas Hill Country. This 25-county swath of south central Texas offers not only charming wineries, spectacular Texas scenery and cool caverns but incredible place to go glamping.

When you want to boost your traditional camping experience into something more luxurious and blend serene nature with great Texas hospitality, gorgeous sunsets and stargazing, glamping in Hill Country is the quintessential solution. The best part? There’s no shortage of stellar places to stay.

Whether you’re looking for a romantic escape, a place for a babymoon or a girls weekend getaway, here’s your go-to guide for the best places to go glamping in Texas Hill Country.

The Retreat on the Hill

The name says it all. When you think about a spot on the hill with 360-degree views of Texas Hill Country that overlook Marble Falls and Lake Lyndon B. Johnson, the Retreat on the Hill is where it’s at.

There are eight types of suites to select from and each one has a king or queen-size bed, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, charging outlets, a microwave oven, a mini refrigerator and freezer, coffee maker and cooking essentials. Each of the accommodations offers a unique glamping experience with different features. The Sunset Cliff House has a 15-foot cathedral ceiling and two transparent cliffside walls, whereas The Stardome Suite, one of the site’s most popular accommodations, is essentially a glamping bubble with a transparent ceiling and walls.
