Campspot is offering a free guide to help park owners prepare for the upcoming eclipses and other Astro events.

Campspot has released a guide for park owners to help them prepare for the Annular Eclipse on Oct. 14 and the Total Solar Eclipse in April 2024.

The guide, How to Sell Out Reservations for the Annular and Total Solar Eclipses, includes a sample timeline for eclipse planning, event and partnership ideas, safety tips, a gear guide and more.

“Celestial events like these draw big crowds, and campground owners are poised to offer the most ideal accommodations for anyone looking to experience them,” noted officials at Campspot.

In a survey of Campspot’s Marketplace campers earlier this year, Campspot found that 78% are interested in seeing the Total Solar Eclipse in 2024 and 40% are very interested. On top of that, the Total Solar Eclipse is expected to be the biggest travel day in U.S. history, which means these astronomical events are an excellent opportunity to draw new visitors to parks.

Additionally, to help drive bookings for the Annular Eclipse, and connect campers with campgrounds, Campspot is hosting a Wild West Camping Trip giveaway. Campers can view a page of Campspot campgrounds in the path of the annular eclipse and one lucky winner will receive a FREE 2-night stay at the campground of their choice for dates that include the annular eclipse on Oct. 14.
