The permits for the proposed 150-acre campground off Naked Creek Road in Elkton (Virginia) have been pulled by the applicant, according to WHSV.
This change comes after community members came forward with concerns about environmental impacts and traffic. A majority of that project would have sat in Page County, with an acre in Rockingham County.
Salatin told WHSV the applicant — Feldman and Three Sons Outdoor Sales, LLC/Hawk Peak LLC — had to submit special use permits in both counties. Hahn said the applicant withdrew the Page County permit on Monday.
