Interest in RVing and camping remains strong, as demonstrated by the  43,148 attendees who gathered at America’s Largest RV Show, Sept. 16-20, in Hershey, Pa., according to a press release.

America’s Largest RV Show, presented by the Pennsylvania Recreation Vehicle & Camping Association (PRVCA), is one of just two manufacturer shows in the country. This year, more than 1,400 new RVs were displayed from 42 manufacturers. The RVs included small pop-up campers to large Class A motorhomes — and everything in between. The new 2027 models feature the latest in design, layout and technology, highlighted the release.

“While the weather was a factor in our attendance, the manufacturers, dealers and vendors reported good traffic and sales,” said Heather Leach, PRVCA executive director. “There is still a strong interest in RVing and camping. We talked with many first-time attendees who were looking to  purchase their first RV and others who were ready for an upgrade.”

The expanded park model selection also saw strong traffic. Dealers noted the expanded selection gave consumers more options and created more interest in the units. Forest River, Great Outdoor Cottages, Kropf Industries and Lancaster Log Cabins showcased their park models.

Axiom RV, Modern Buggy and Sunset Park RV were new additions that created excitement in their categories. Axiom, based in Elkhart, Ind., makes luxury fifth wheels and toy haulers, while Modern Buggy, Edwardsburg, Mich.; and Sunset Park, Shipshewana, Ind.; manufacture innovative travel trailers.

Two hundred booth vendors offered products and services for the RV industry. They included RV parts and accessories, camping equipment and supplies, décor, insurance, repair and maintenance products, campground and vacation destination information, insurance and more.

The show featured a new Creator Corner where content creators hosted meet-and-greets. In addition, PRVCA hosted the first Campfire Conversations with the creators. The casual discussions featured topics on How to Document Your Travel, Working on the Road, How to Overcome Bumps in the Road and Finding Community and Meaningful Experiences on the Road. The sessions were well attended and provided excellent opportunities for questions and answers from experienced RVers.

The hourly seminars also attracted large crowds as attendees learned about buying an RV, boondocking, maintenance tips, safety, travel and other helpful RV topics.

The SupaFun Band, a four-piece party band, strolled through the show playing music from RV and movie theme songs to pop songs and other ditties.

Visitors also participated in the America’s Largest RV Show Scavenger Hunt by using the app to scan QR codes at participating sponsor exhibits in the show. Every participant who completed the  Scavenger Hunt received a candy prize, and they could enter the prize drawing to win one of the grand prizes, including a Blue Technology Water Stop, a bike rack sponsored by Forest River, an RV  door handle sponsored by Heartland RV or $250 diesel savings from Open Roads.

PRVCA thanks the show sponsors: Double Deuces RV Roofing, Grech RV, KZ RV, Progressive, RV  Trader, RV Value Mart and The RV Shop, platinum sponsors; Blue Technology, Ember RV, Intech, Open Roads and SeeLevel by Garnet, gold sponsors; General RV Center, Newmar Corporation and  Tiffin Motorhomes, Silver Sponsors; and Adventure Caravans, Aliner, Liberty RV of Gettysburg,  Netco, Sunpass and Wilkins RV, Bronze sponsors.

Mark your calendar for the 2027 show, Sept. 15-19, 2027, at the GIANT CenterSM in Hershey, Pa. Tickets will go on sale in June 2027 at largestRVshow.com.
