Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) congratulates Jeremy and Alley Baldwin on the acquisition of the Richmond KOA Holiday. With extensive experience in hospitality, design, and operations, including leadership roles across global resort projects and previous ownership of the Decatur/Wheeler Lake KOA Holiday, the couple brings passion, creativity, and a family-centered vision to the campground, according to a press release.

As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Jeremy brings strong leadership and a focus on service to their operations, while Alley’s background as a registered International Architect and Project Manager, including projects such as the St. Regis Resort in Bermuda and the Prince of Dubai’s palace, brings an eye for detail and design excellence to every camper touchpoint.
Tucked amid the farmland of eastern Indiana, the Richmond KOA Holiday sits just outside the historic city of Richmond, conveniently located near Interstate 70 and within easy reach of both Dayton, Ohio, and Indianapolis. The campground’s countryside setting offers a blend of small-town charm and accessibility, making it an ideal base for exploring antique trails, local wineries, and scenic rural byways.
“We definitely wanted a KOA, mainly due to the fantastic reservation software and support that comes with the brand,” said Jeremy Baldwin, co-owner of the Richmond KOA Holiday. “Our next priority was finding a property close to a good hospital and a strong local school for our kiddo. Richmond checked every box, and we couldn’t be happier to call this community home.”
The Richmond KOA Holiday features a stocked fishing pond, pool, playground, mini golf, and a new outdoor stage for family movie nights, sporting events, and kids’ dance-offs. Upcoming additions include an Outdoor Laser Tag arena and a wine-tasting venue, complementing the region’s growing number of wineries. With weekend crafts, local fishing derbies, and community events, the campground offers a lively, family-friendly atmosphere that brings guests and locals together.
Located at 3101 Cart Road in Richmond, Ind., the Richmond KOA Holiday will reopen for the season on March 2.
