In the midst of Tropical Storm Arthur bringing heavy rainfall and flooding to south Mississippi, residents sprang into action to save a small animal’s life Thursday (June 18) afternoon, according to WLOX.
WDAM 7’s Delaney Dukes caught the moment a kitten was rescued after floodwaters filled the Perk Beach RV Park and Campgrounds in Perkinston around 2 p.m.
The waters were at chest level when the park manager and others stepped in to help.
Dukes also helped dry the kitten off with a towel and handed it back for others to take care of.
