A new RV park coming to Northport (Ala.) is expected to open this summer, giving travelers and Alabama football fans another place to stay near Tuscaloosa, according to WVUA.
Construction is currently underway on Northport RV Park, which owner Lynwood Springer said has been in the works for several years.
The RV park is located on 30th Ave., just minutes from the University of Alabama and Bryant-Denny Stadium. Springer said he hopes the location will make it attractive for Alabama football fans traveling into town during the season.
Springer said the park will include amenities like an on-site laundromat, a pavilion with lighting and picnic tables, grills and fencing around the property.
Managers at River Run Park, a new baseball and softball complex nearby, also believe the RV park could help accommodate traveling families coming in for tournaments and events.
