Outdoor Hospitality Weekly, the rapidly growing media platform focused on the campground, RV park, glamping, and outdoor hospitality industry, has surpassed 10,000 podcast downloads in its first 40 episodes while growing its Substack publication to more than 1,000 subscribers, according to a press release.
Since launching, the platform has quickly become a trusted resource for campground owners, RV park operators, glamping developers, investors, and industry professionals looking for practical insights on operating and growing outdoor hospitality businesses.
The Outdoor Hospitality Weekly podcast has generated 10.3K audio downloads, more than 25K video views, and over 50K total website visits in the past year.
The podcast is co-hosted by Alex Burkett, general manager at Greyson Capital Group, and Matt Whitermore, director at Unhitched Management and Climb Capital. Whitermore originally launched the platform to address a gap in the industry for deeper discussion that blends both investment strategy and real-world operational insights.

Whitermore brings direct industry experience as a three-time campground owner and operator, and currently works with Climb Capital and Unhitched Management, helping source acquisitions and optimize operations across a growing portfolio of more than 26 outdoor hospitality properties.
“When we started Outdoor Hospitality Weekly, the goal was simple,” said Matt Whitermore, co-host of the podcast. “We wanted to create honest conversations about what is actually happening in the outdoor hospitality industry, from operations and technology to investment and development. There are incredible people building amazing businesses in this space, and we wanted to create a platform where those stories and insights could be shared.”
The newsletter complements the podcast by delivering weekly written analysis and commentary for professionals across the outdoor lodging sector.
Published every Saturday, the free newsletter on Substack focuses on practical, proven systems rather than theory, helping operators sharpen their skills without spending hours sifting through noise.
Recent newsletter topics include:
- What happened to LOGE Camps
- Blue Metric Group’s 97M RV deal
- AI prompting and automation in outdoor hospitality
- Magna Hospitality Group’s acquisition of an outdoor hotel in Moab
- The dying condo RV model with Amir Harpaz

Each issue is designed to be quickly scannable and actionable, featuring three recurring sections:
The One Big Thing — The breaking news, trend, or deal shaping the market
Trail Map — Tactical frameworks to improve guest experience and NOI
Field Notes — Lessons from real-world operators and investors
The goal is to provide operator-tested strategies and market insights, rather than recycled headlines or theoretical commentary.
