A proposed RV park near Kaplan (La.) is already advertising monthly spaces to workers expected to build SpaceX’s proposed $100 billion spaceport in coastal Vermilion Parish, adding a new dimension to the parish’s debate over how to regulate RV parks ahead of the anticipated development boom, according to The Advocate.
The Rocket Farm, a proposed “contractor campground” on Farmer Road about 30 miles from the planned launch site, is advertising 17 RV spaces, including 14 for monthly rentals. The business is accepting reservations for $700 a month.
But the land sale for the proposed park has not closed and remains pending.
