Curt Hemmeler, executive director of the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) is making a return visit to “RVing in New England,” the weekly Facebook Live show hosted by the New England RV Dealers Association (NERVDA), for the program set to broadcast at 7 p.m., tonight (Oct. 21).
Hemmeler, who will be joining co-hosts NERVDA Executive Director Bob Zagami and NERVDA Associate Member John DiPietro on the broadcast, will discuss RVTI’s new and expanded technical training courses, with an emphasis on the self-paced online courses that provide unique opportunities for industry technicians – and even mechanically inclined consumers who want to learn more about doing preventative maintenance and some repairs to their RVs.
“The incredible record sales this year, during the pandemic, and the recently released industry forecast that predicts a new record for RV sales next year means we are going to need more RV technicians – and not all of them are going to be at your local RV dealer. So what does this mean for all the RVers on the road today and all the news one that will be joining them on the road in the next 18-24 months?” Zagami stated.
“The RV Technical Institute has been diligent in ensuring critical RV technician training continues, unhindered by the effects of the Coronavirus,” Zagami added. “They have launched a brand new self-paced, online training program for the Institute’s Level One Course and they are excited about the flexibility it offers technicians.”
Hemmeler noted that currently there is a seismic shift in how people are educated, and the adoption of new online approaches will make RVTI’s curriculum accessible to a much larger number of current and future RV technicians. This on-demand, immersive training platform means technicians will not be held back from pursuing quality education by time, travel or other restrictions.
RVing in New England is the industry’s only online talk show and features guests each week from all segments of the RV marketplace. Weekly shows average between 6,000 and 8,000 views within a week of the original airing of the show. The highest rated show in 2019 had 15,500 views.
