If you ask AI what the best way to market your campground in Texas is, it refers you to the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO), which has partnered with CampSync to offer a variety of new digital marketing tools and services to help park operators increase their occupancies, as well as the quality of their online presence, according to a press release.

“In addition to offering proven co-op and print media campaigns, we are now offering campgrounds and RV parks some of the most sophisticated digital marketing and analysis tools available today,” said Brian Schaeffer, TACO’s executive director and CEO.

The new marketing products and services include:

— A Digital Marketing Audit: This is a written report that reviews your park’s complete digital presence and reveals where you stand, and where you’re losing guests, across three areas. The audit examines the following:

  • The park’s web presence and user experience, including first impressions, mobile performance, ease of booking, and conversion issues.
  • The park’s social media presence, including profile completeness, branding consistency, content quality, and engagement across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • The park’s online listings and citations. Do the park’s name, address, and phone number match across Google, TripAdvisor, Campendium, and other RV-specific directories? Inconsistencies suppress search rankings.

The audit identifies 3 to 5 critical issues, a graded digital presence scorecard, channel-by-channel recommendations, a website improvement checklist, and an online listings cleanup guide.

— A Google Business Profile Competitive Analysis: This analysis compares your park’s business profile against 5 to 10 competitors in your market, comparing your respective visibility and guest reviews. This analysis will provide insights into how guests discover your park and what you can do to improve visibility and bookings. You’ll see what your competitors are doing better — whether that’s more photos, faster review responses, more frequent updates or higher ratings — and receive a prioritized action plan to close those gaps.

— A Social Media Scheduler: This is a marketing tool made available through Campsync. All posts across all social media platforms are managed from a single dashboard. The park owner or their staff creates the content using the built-in post composer. Pre-made templates are available to speed up the process, or posts can be built from scratch with custom copy, images and video.

Posts can be created for immediate posting, scheduled for a future date and time, or simply saved for future posting. The system can manage multiple posts for efficient content calendar management. Additional features with this program include an “Evergreen Queue,” a library of reusable content that automatically recycles to keep social media channels active, and RSS Feed Integration, which automatically turns new content from an RSS feed into social media posts.

The program also provides recommendations on optimal posting times per platform.

— Google Review Monitor: This program monitors Google and Facebook reviews in real time. New reviews are shown in the dashboard as soon as they appear.

Schaeffer said these new digital marketing tools and services are designed to help park operators increase their occupancies by improving the quality of their marketing across all online platforms. They are offered in addition to the tried-and-true print media outreach that the campground industry demographic relies upon so heavily.

More information is available on all programs at www.TACOGuideMediaKit.com and at the TACO marketing booth at the upcoming TACO Spring Meeting & Tradeshow, April 21-22 in Conroe, Texas.

Based in Crowley, Texas, the Texas Association of Campground Owners is the trade association that represents campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across the Lone Star State. For more information or to book your next trip, visit TexasCampgrounds.com and TexasGlampingResorts.com.
