Town of Louisville (Tenn.) officials are planning to install a new, safer fishing pier and level out some of the grading surrounding the playground at Poland Creek Campgrounds using $100,000 in grant funds received from the state Tourist Development Board, according to The Daily Times.
City, county and state representatives gathered Tuesday (Dec. 16) at the campgrounds for a check presentation ceremony.
The grant, which Louisville Administrative Assistant Hailey Russell said officials have been working on for months, will help town officials improve one of their most-used amenities.
