Signorelli, one of Texas’ largest privately held real estate development companies, announces the appointment of Terry Munoz as vice president of recreational properties. A veteran of the outdoor hospitality industry, Munoz brings nearly four decades of experience developing and operating upscale RV parks and resorts, according to a press release.
In this role, he will oversee operations for the company’s existing recreational portfolio, ensuring consistency in services and quality of the guest experience, while also leading the development of new offerings and amenities to support future growth.

“Terry is a recognized industry leader and expert who joins us at an exciting time as we continue to expand and enhance our recreational portfolio,” said Danny Signorelli, founder and CEO of Signorelli. “His deep understanding of hospitality, operations and customer experience will help us set a new standard for best-in-class services in the RV resort lifestyle.”
Having played an early role in establishing the company’s Recreational Properties division, Munoz will continue to build on The Signorelli Company’s vision for premier outdoor destinations, beginning with The Retreat RV & Camping Resort in Huffman, Texas. Munoz will oversee its next phase of growth, which is expected to begin in early 2027.
The Retreat RV & Camping Resort is an award-winning property located near Lake Houston and approximately 40 miles from downtown Houston. The resort offers a variety of both camping and glamping accommodations, including full hookup RV sites, air-conditioned cabins, covered wagons, retro RV rentals and tent sites. Complementing the range of accommodations, guests enjoy resort-style amenities designed to encourage relaxation, recreation and quality time outdoors, including a swimming pool, sports courts, a fishing pier, mini-golf, fitness center, and a full schedule of recreational activities.
Munoz will build on the resort’s established success with a focus on enhancing accommodations and community amenities to further enrich the guest experience.
“What makes this industry special is the people and the sense of community these resorts build over time,” said Munoz. “We have a great opportunity to create both a wonderful recreation destination and a ‘home away from home’ where families and individuals feel welcome and want to keep coming back.”
Before joining Signorelli, Munoz worked as a senior consultant at Campground Consulting Group, where he supported campground operations and development. His experience also includes serving as Regional Manager for Equity LifeStyle Properties, where he oversaw seven Texas RV resorts and campgrounds. A respected voice in the outdoor hospitality industry, Munoz is on the board of the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) and has served on the executive board of OHI (formerly ARVC), where he is currently chairman of the OHI Foundation.
He is also a frequent speaker at state and national industry conferences. Additionally, Munoz teaches courses in guest services and service recovery, supervision and team leadership, recruitment, and financial management at George O’Leary National School of Outdoor Hospitality.
Munoz holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University.
Along with recreational properties, Signorelli has an integrated development platform that includes land development, commercial development and homebuilding. Munoz joins the company during a period of significant growth across all divisions, including the recently announced 55-acre Commerce District at Valley Ranch, the next phase in the evolution of the award-winning 1,400-acre Valley Ranch master-planned community in New Caney, which encompasses 2.55 million square feet of retail, office, entertainment, restaurant and mixed-use space.
In addition to Valley Ranch, Signorelli’s development portfolio includes 16 planned communities across Greater Houston. The largest is Austin Point in Fort Bend County, a 4,700-acre master-planned satellite city at the future intersection of Fort Bend Parkway and Grand Parkway. Planned for approximately 14,000 homes and more than 1,600 acres of commercial, hospitality, medical, multifamily and corporate development, Austin Point is one of the largest mixed-use projects currently underway in Texas.
Following its recent expansion, the Signorelli homebuilding division, First America Homes, is now building homes in communities in Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio areas. The division recently ranked #75 on the prestigious Builder 100 list of largest residential homebuilders.
