The Danville (Va.) Planning Commission is recommending approval for a special use permit for a proposed luxury RV park off of Jenny Lane, near Goodyear Boulevard, according to the Star-Tribune.
Florida-based developer Joe Cubas wants to build The Palace Resort on about 46 acres. Last year the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors rejected Cubas’ request to build a park near Vandola Church Road.
In Danville, plans call for 333 RV sites. It’ll also have pools and spas, a restaurant, sports and more. Cubas met with residents near the proposed site last month to go over his plans.
The Commission heard more than 90 minutes worth of comments during a lengthy public hearing Monday (May 8) afternoon.
