A campground proposed for roughly 36 acres on Morse Lane in Arrington received the Nelson County (Va.) Planning Commission’s recommended 4-1 approval on March 25, according to the Nelson County Times.
Tim and Lori Masters, Nelson Morse Lane Land Trust, are the applicants seeking the special use permit to develop the campground on A-1, agriculture-zoned land in three phases. The first phase would include seven pad sites along Morse Lane with proposed screening along the road and nine pad sites along the interior access road.
The second phase is proposed to include an additional 18 pad sites, for a total of 34 sites with access to utilities. The third phase includes tent sites only. About 10 acres of the 113 acres total are proposed to contain all sites and facilities, said Dylan Bishop, the county’s director of planning and zoning.
