WayHaven Resorts, led by Mychele and Patrick Bisson and known for its philosophy of “experience the outdoors your way,” has officially acquired Mason Olson’s RV Resort, one of Washington State’s most iconic waterfront destinations, according to a press release.
Located along the Strait of Juan de Fuca on the scenic Olympic Peninsula, the historic property marks a significant addition to WayHaven’s growing portfolio of outdoor hospitality destinations.

The acquisition follows months of on-site visits, strategic deal structuring, and collaborative negotiations to ensure a true win-win outcome for both buyer and seller. A central focus throughout the process was preserving the guest experience and ensuring a seamless transition for the loyal community that has long supported the resort.
Recognized as the longest-running fishing resort in Washington and one of the state’s oldest sport fishing destinations, Mason Olson’s has built a legacy among anglers and outdoor enthusiasts. The property features waterfront cabins, RV accommodations and direct access to world-class salmon and halibut fishing — drawing repeat visitors year after year.
WayHaven Resorts plans to take a thoughtful, guest-first approach to enhancements. Initial improvements will include implementing Staylist, a modern reservation system, to create a more streamlined, user-friendly booking experience. At the same time, the team is committed to supporting longtime guests who are familiar with the resort’s traditional first-come, first-served model during the transition, noted the resort.
“Our goal is to honor the history and heart of Mason Olson’s while enhancing the experience in ways that serve both new and returning guests,” said Mychele Bisson, co-founder of WayHaven Resorts. “This is a special place with deep roots, and we’re excited to carry that legacy forward.”
With strong seasonal income, a loyal customer base, and opportunities for thoughtful expansion — including potential longer season operations, accommodations and additional amenities — the resort represents a unique opportunity to blend heritage with future-focused hospitality.
Guests can expect continuity in the experience they know and love, along with strategic improvements that align with WayHaven’s vision of creating flexible, memorable outdoor stays.
