A man from Plainville, Mass., withdrew his application to build an RV park for the seven World Cup games at Gillette Stadium this summer, according to MSN.
Jared Hatch, who owns 20 acres of land along Route 1, applied for a permit through the town to build a park he said could host 1,700 fans for the games.
Plainville is only about a 15-minute drive to Gillette Stadium.
However, the Plainville Board of Selectmen told NewsCenter 5 that Hatch formally withdrew his application to do so on Tuesday (March 31).
Hatch said the permitting process would have taken too long to build the park in time for the games.
