The Louisiana Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (LARVC) sent out a communication to members on Wednesday (Aug. 19) highlighting important legislation that went into effect on June 13 that provides protection to individuals, businesses and government entities who have stepped up to help keep Louisiana safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the most recent Louisiana regular legislative session, legislators passed legislation relative to liability protection that shields employers in Louisiana from lawsuits related to COVID-19.
House Bill 826 (Act 336), authored by Representative Thomas Pressly, provides protection to individuals, businesses and government entities who have stepped up to help keep Louisiana safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. It also helps protect businesses that substantially comply with federal, state and local guidance as they seek to rehire workers, reopen their doors and begin growing again.
