ARVC Unveils Redesigned GoCampingAmerica.com

The newly redesigned GoCampingAmerica.com is set to make finding a campground easier for campers.

The newly redesigned GoCampingAmerica.com is set to make finding a campground easier for campers.

The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) today (June 22) announced the debut of a redesigned GoCampingAmerica.com, the organization’s consumer-facing website focused on helping the more than 25 million Americans who go RVing each year find their next adventure, according to ARVC officials.

Intended to simplify and enhance the camper’s experience, the site features a powerful new search engine that allows campers to pinpoint their exact needs or compare parks along their route by searching in broader terms, including nearby landmarks and destinations. Campers are prompted to “Find Their Next Adventure” in the search bar and can view updated park profiles across the United States and Canada, including the ability to make a reservation or connect directly with a campground’s social media channels and website, according to ARVC officials.

RVers, campers and outdoor enthusiasts alike can use this website to not only find their next place to stay but also learn more about the outdoor industry with the Happy Camper blog and various guides to adventuring.

“We wanted to create a unique site for RVers and campers to easily find their next adventure,” explained David Basler, vice president of membership and marketing at ARVC. “This site provides that easily accessible experience for consumers and it also gives RV parks and campgrounds a direct line to RVers and campers planning their next trip. It’s the perfect marketing tool.”

For owners and operators of RV parks and campgrounds, GoCampingAmerica.com offers unique ways to market their park’s features, events and attractions campers will experience when they book a stay. Park owners and operators can add high-resolution photos, videos, a park description, nearby landmarks, amenities, rates, policies, social links and more.

If owners and operators are looking for more visibility with consumers, ARVC member-parks are eligible to upgrade and enhance their profile with special placement and badges on their listing, social media pushes on the GoCampingAmerica.com social channels and blogs, noted officials. These options will have parks highlighted at the top of searches for more views when campers are looking for their next adventure. Featured parks, including those that have earned special recognition from ARVC, including Awards of Excellence and the Plan-It Green Friendly Park Program, will also receive badges to help them stand out.

GoCampingAmerica.com is also the official search engine for GoRVing.com, the consumer-facing site operated by industry partner the RV Industry Association (RVIA), which further enhances the exposure for listed RV parks and campgrounds.

The potential to reach the 25 million Americans who go RVing each year also provides a great return on investment for businesses with camping and outdoor supplies that advertise on GoCampingAmerica.com, according to ARVC officials. ARVC is hosting a webinar to help members leverage this new marketing tool. The webinar, titled The New GoCampingAmerica.com: Marketing Tips and Tricks, will take place on Thursday (June 25) at 11 a.m. (EST).
