After decades as a local campground, the York County (Virginia) site formerly known as Williamsburg Campground officially began a new era Friday, July 10, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating its transformation into Camp Jellystone, according to the Williamsburg Yorktown Daily.

The ceremony featured appearances by Yogi Bear, Cindy Bear, Boo Boo and the park ranger, along with local officials who gathered to celebrate the campground’s transition into a Jellystone destination.

Northgate Resorts developed the Jellystone campground and owns 35 campgrounds across the country. Before becoming Camp Jellystone, the site operated as Williamsburg Campground.

The park offers themed cabins, RV sites and tent camping, along with activities for children and families, including splash pads, mini-golf, nature trails and seasonal events.

A full list of activities and camping availability is available at jellystonewilliamsburg.com.
